NAFIS Impact Aid Coalition Hall of Fame
The NAFIS Advocacy Action Center (NAAC) provides timely and accurate legislative and political information to NAFIS members and interested parties concerning various Impact Aid-related issues.  This information allows NAFIS members and interested parties  to effectively advocate their Congressional delegations on behalf of their school districts, their children, the Impact Aid Program, and NAFIS on various education and Impact Aid Program-related issues.  The NAFIS Advocacy Action Center Hall of Fame is composed of NAFIS members that take time out of their professional and personal lives to develop and maintain working relationships with their Congressional delegation, consistently communicate with their Congressional delegation, and engage their state and local media.  The Impact Aid Program would not continue to be a viable federal education program without the support and efforts of these Hall of Fame members.  Check out the NAAC today at http://capwiz.com/nafis/home/ and join the NAFIS Action Network today at http://capwiz.com/nafis/mlm/signup/.  NAFIS encourages its members to also check out its subgroup websites.  Further information on NAFIS government affairs activities can be found at the GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS section of the NAFIS website at www.nafisdc.orgSee list here...

The National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) is a non-profit, non-partisan corporation of school districts from throughout the United States, organized primarily to educate Congress on the importance of Impact Aid.  Founded in 1973, the association works to ensure the needs of federally connected children are met with adequate federal funds. NAFIS represents children residing on Indian Lands, military children, children residing in low-rent housing projects, and children whose parents are civilian but work and/or live on federal property. NAFIS is governed by a board of directors elected from its membership. The association is located in Washington, D.C., with a full time professional staff under the leadership of an executive director.
