Alaska Alaska State Department of Education on behalf of the Mt. Edgecumbe Boarding School $527,000 roof replacement $176,634 installation of fire alarms
Lower Kuskokwim School District $2,699,465 replaces fuel storage facility at the Eek School
Lower Yukon School District $1,473,467 replaces fuel storage facility at Ignatius Beans-Mt. Pribilof School District $2,288,979 complete renovation of St. George school on St. George Is.
Yukon Flats School District $472,782 – Chalkyitsik $472,782 – Stevens Village $472,782 – Venetie Replaces current water systems
Arizona
Akimel O’Otham Pee Posh (3-4) $207,510 – Replace modular class- rooms at charter school
Painted Desert Demonstration Projects $375,082 – To be used toward a proposed project; includes grant conditions
Pinon Unified School District $1,766.000 – Roof and HVAC replacement
Shonto Governing Board $54,200 – Upgrades fire alarm system to meet code
Montana
Harlem High School District $100,000 – Replace sewer lines & install security surveillance system
Rocky Boy Elementary School District $1,251,965 – Replaces fire system, Underground electrical system, HVAC system & doors/windows
Nebraska
Santee School District $634,280 – Replace failing roof
Washington
Wellpinit School District #49 $4,362,935 – Install new HVAC; new fire alarm, remediate accessibility deficiencies, replace roof and exterior doors and window frames |

Welcome to NAFIS
The National Association of Federally Impacted Schools (NAFIS) is a non-profit, non-partisan corporation of school districts from throughout the United States, organized primarily to educate Congress on the importance of Impact Aid. Founded in 1973, the association works to ensure the needs of federally connected children are met with adequate federal funds. NAFIS represents children residing on Indian Lands, military children, children residing in low-rent housing projects, and children whose parents are civilian but work and/or live on federal property. NAFIS is governed by a board of directors elected from its membership.
