The numbers in the link below are ONLY estimates of NAFIS member district’s FY 2009 preliminary payments, based on 2008 student data and LOT percentages. They do reflect FY 2009 Local Contribution Rate figures with the exception of districts paid using General Comparable District rates and reflect a payout at 90% of LOT per the Department of Education’s preliminary payment report. For districts eligible under 8003(b) (2), the payment figures at 90% do not factor in the 8003(b) (2) calculations, but these estimates are reflected under the FY 2009 maximum column. Keep in mind these estimates are not based on current student or LOT percentage data. When such information becomes available these numbers will be revised. Children with Disabilities payments are being made at $900 per cwd weighted unit. Districts should check their application for the number of disability students claimed (Indian land and military on-base receive a 1.00 weight, while an off-base military child is weighted at .50). Total the weights and multiply by $900. The Department is paying based on the funds available under the current Continuing Resolution as passed by Congress, funding programs at their FY 2008 level through March 6, 2009. Districts in need of a payment prior to January 1 should request an early payment from the Department of Education. See the numbers here. |
